David Walliams parted ways with publishing house.
Prolific young adult author and comedian David Walliams has parted ways with his UK book publisher, according to an announcement.
A spokesman for the publisher said: "Following a thorough review, and under the leadership of its fresh leadership, HarperCollins UK has chosen to cease publishing additional books by David Walliams."
It has been reported that the conclusion was made after an investigation into claims about inappropriate behaviour towards women.
The company declined to specify the reasons for its decision, adding: "We refrain from speaking about confidential company decisions."
An Illustrious Publishing History
Walliams is one of the UK's most prolific writers for young readers, with sales exceeding in excess of 60 million copies globally in five dozen languages.
His inaugural foray into kids' literature, *The Boy in the Dress*, was released through HarperCollins fifteen years ago.
Several of his titles, for example *Gangsta Granny* and *Billionaire Boy*, have also been adapted into small-screen adaptations.
To date, he has released more than 40 books combined, which features a festive story called *Santa & Son*, which was released through HarperCollins this past October.
From Screen to Page
He first rose to fame on the TV sketch series *Little Britain* and has additionally received National Television Awards for his role as a panelist on *Britain's Got Talent*.
He received an OBE back in 2017 for his services to the charitable sector and arts community.
This move occurs subsequent to the naming of Kate Elton as HarperCollins UK's recent CEO in October.
